Job summary

Txhealthcare in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support clinicians in primary care. You will greet patients, document vitals, assist with exams, and maintain accurate EMR records in NextGen.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 7:15 am-4:00 pm, Friday 7:15 am-2:45 pm, with Saturday clinic once a month 8am-12pm; Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required. Join a fast-paced team focused on patient care and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA or RMA certification.
• 3 years of experience in primary care.
• NextGen EMR experience a plus.
• Flexible with hours including Saturday clinic once a month.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs, venipuncture, and other lab procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly set up.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, including patient recall and preventive screenings.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.

• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
• Follow infection control and safety procedures

Job Requirements:

• Must have a CMA or RMA current certification
• 3 years of experience in primary care
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Previous EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols.
• Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:15 am-4:00 pm, Friday 7:15 am-2:45 pm (must be flexible) and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am-12pm
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
