Base pay range

$15.30/hr - $28.22/hr

Medical Assistant - Mahopac NY - Full time, 40 hours per week

$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Must have experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician.

Summary

Performs tasks within case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and supportive/restorative care under a licensed healthcare provider.

Responsibilities

1. Patient Care - Collect outside medical records and test results for review.
2. Review patient schedule and plan for clinical day.
3. Maintain, retrieve, and re-file patient charts.
4. Clean exam rooms, ensure supplies are available, demonstrate safe equipment use.
5. Maintain infection control measures and comply with policies.
6. Promote a safe, efficient environment and report incidents or hazards.
7. Escort patients and perform routine testing within scope.
8. Assist with patient summaries, medication reconciliation, and history forms.
9. Demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge.
10. Respond promptly and courteously to patient concerns.
11. Transfer calls and review patient inquiries.

Qualifications

Current Medical Assistant certification preferred; BLS certification required.

Minimum 1 year physician office experience.

Physical and Mental Factors

Requires light to moderate physical effort; moderate stress due to workload.

Working Conditions

Exposure to physical hazards, contagious diseases, and environmental risks.
