Job Overview

The Offsite Medical Assistant I provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons, performs patient care, and handles administrative duties to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with patient care tasks such as scheduling, patient flow, assisting with procedures, taking vital signs, and relaying instructions.
  2. Handle clerical duties including managing medical records, obtaining reports, completing forms, and managing charts using EMR systems.
  3. Enter orders into EMR and prepare prescription refill requests for physician review.
  4. Inventory and restock medical supplies as needed.
  5. Set up examination rooms, maintain sterilization standards, and log relevant processes.
  6. Check medication and supply expiration dates, dispose of expired items properly.
  7. Maintain a safe work environment, follow legal and safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
  8. Assist with medical chart maintenance, scheduling surgeries, and performing phlebotomy duties if proficient.
  9. Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, updating patient information, and verifying insurance details.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program or equivalent training; 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Compensation

The hourly salary range is $17.61 - $32.94, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits and bonuses are additional.
