Blue Ridge Health in Lake Lure, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team. This full-time role offers $20.50 hourly pay with opportunities for salary and career advancement.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available after 90 days of employment. We provide a competitive benefits plan including medical, dental and vision, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays, and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or RM A preferred; must obtain certification within 18 months if not certified.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license preferred (NC); we will pay for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Working in a fast-paced medical office setting.
• Assisting providers with delivering quality patient care.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.).
• Performing basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
• Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and relaying information to providers.
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

What You'll Do:

As a Medical Assistant or LPN you will be an integral member of the BRH medical team assisting with the direct care of patients and clinic activities. We are looking for a team player that can help build a positive environment with a desire to work in an interdisciplinary healthcare team and with a culturally diverse patient population. Responsibilities include:

• Working in a fast-paced medical office setting
• Assisting providers with delivering quality patient care
• Obtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)
• Performing basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGs
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Answering phones, responding to inquiries, and relaying information to providers
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment

What We're Looking For:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medical documentation preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred– Must obtain certification within 18 months of hire date if not currently certified (We can help you get it – ask us how!)
• Licensed Practical Nurses – NC licensure preferred (we will pay for your license renewal!)
• Medical phone triage experience preferred
• Ability to float between nearby clinical sites as needed
• Bi-Lingual (preferred, but not required – we pay extra per hour for your language skills)
