US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant (Per Diem) to join the team at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX, with float to multiple clinics. The role emphasizes phlebotomy, patient support, and accurate documentation while collaborating with a broad physician network.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy.

• Assist with HSGs as needed.
• Take vital signs and provide clinical assistance.

• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Work independently to meet program goals.
• Support excellence in customer service.
• Handle administrative tasks and prior authorizations.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Floats to Beaumont, Clear Lake, Memorial City, Katy, and Spring Woodlands, TX.

• Schedule: Per Diem, schedule varies as needed

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedure
• Assist with HSGs as needed
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Assists with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
• Provides pre and post op education
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
• Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved
• Support and promote excellence in customer service
• Administrative tasks, prior authorizations, etc.
