Job summary

Gratitude Weight Loss Honolulu LLC is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to enroll patients in weight loss programs and support medical care. You will educate patients on GLP-1 medications, assist in creating personalized weight loss plans, and help with documentation, scheduling, and follow-ups.

Ideal candidates have CMA certification, experience in weight loss settings, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
• Experience in weight loss/endocrinology preferred.
• Knowledge of GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro).
• Proficient with EMR systems and MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and motivational patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Enrolling patients into weight loss programs.
• Provide services to patients and upsell when appropriate.
• Scan and file intake, consent, and financial documents.
• Greet and prepare patients for consultations; record vitals and history.
• Educate on GLP-1 meds, benefits, side effects, usage.
• Assist in developing personalized weight loss plans integrating meds, nutrition, and lifestyle.
• Operate body sculpting and foot detox equipment during appointments.
• Cross-train on conducting patient consults and enrollments.
• Schedule follow-ups and manage lab work and medications.
• Maintain patient records in EMR and provide lab requisitions.

We support our patients by performing testing, meal plans, daily motivation, and weekly masterminds coming soon.

• We have patients that come in-person and we also ship nationwide
• Patients also take our machines home for 12 weeks nationwide
• All of our patients get unlimited 1 on 1 support & are put into a zoom mastermind call and our mobile app gives them videos, recipes, daily and weekly task reminders, like drinking water, weighing in, reminders to take their medications, and staying grateful throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enrolling patients into a weight loss program.
• Providing services to patients in the weight loss program and upsell them occasionally.
• Scanning and filing Intake, Consent, and Financial Agreement paperwork.

Patient Care:

• Greet and prepare patients for consultations, including recording vital signs and medical history.
• Educate patients on GLP-1 medications, explaining their benefits, potential side effects, and proper usage.
• Assist in developing personalized weight loss plans that integrate medication, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
• Initiate body sculpting machine during patent appointments.
• Initiate foot detox machine during patent appointments.
• You will be cross trained on conducting patient consults and enrolling them into weight loss programs.

Medication Administration & Monitoring:

• Assist with self-administration of GLP-1 injections as prescribed.
• Provide step-by-step training to patients on how to self-administer injections at home.
• Monitor patient progress, track side effects, and report any concerns to the medical team.

Administrative Support:

• Schedule follow-up appointments, lab work, and medication management.
• Accurately update patient records in the EMR system.
• Provide patients with blood work requisitions.

Patient Engagement & Education:

• Offer continuous support to patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to GLP-1 treatments.
• Provide educational materials on medication, nutrition, and exercise plans via the mobile app.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure patient adherence to treatment plans and report symptoms that require prescriptions to the provider.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Previous experience in weight loss, endocrinology, or metabolic health settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of GLP-1 medications (such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro) and their role in weight management.
• Proficient in using EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
