Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients and the clinical team in a busy outpatient setting. You will lead chart preparation and ensure information is current for physicians on-site. You will interact with patients daily, prioritizing service quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, empathy, and effective communication, with adherence to scripted greetings and closings to ensure consistent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training equivalent to an accredited MA program.
• BLS American Heart Association CPR certification is required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

• Demonstrates active listening with positive can do attitude.
• Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy.
• Uses scripted greeting. "Thank you for choosing ________________________________this is (your name) how can I help you"
• Uses scripted closing at every interaction. "Is there anything else I can do for you" Over the phone and as patients leave the clinic.

Job Requirements Required

• High School Graduate or High School GED.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program
• BLS-American Heart Association

Preferred

• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant

Pay Range

$20.96 - $29.60 /hour
