Job summary

The Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Glendale, Arizona is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. As part of one of the oldest podiatric practices in Phoenix, you'll collaborate with physicians to provide excellent patient care. The role involves various clinical and administrative duties including greeting patients, taking vital signs, assisting with treatments, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Medical Assistant – Training Provided!

Job Type

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet patients on the phone and in person
  • Place patients in the exam rooms
  • Take vital signs of patients
  • Assist and set up for examination, treatment, and procedures
  • Keep accurate patient files
  • Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by the podiatrist
  • Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Perform a variety of other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association CPR Certification desirable
  • MA Certification a plus, but not required
  • EMR experience helpful; Athena experience a plus
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess an X‑Ray certificate valid in Arizona
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to actively listen
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties
