Medical Assistant – Training Provided!

Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients on the phone and in person
- Place patients in the exam rooms
- Take vital signs of patients
- Assist and set up for examination, treatment, and procedures
- Keep accurate patient files
- Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by the podiatrist
- Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Perform a variety of other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification desirable
- MA Certification a plus, but not required
- EMR experience helpful; Athena experience a plus
Requirements
- Candidate must possess an X‑Ray certificate valid in Arizona
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound
- Strong communication skills and the ability to actively listen
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- Spirit of teamwork and drive to help provide the highest standards of patient care
