Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work closely with physicians to provide hands-on care, support procedures, and help with scheduling, check-in/out, and billing tasks.

The role offers hands-on training, opportunities to expand clinical skills, and a collaborative team environment with multiple local office locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams
• Assist physicians with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries
• Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
• Provide patient education and follow-up communication
• Support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and other administrative tasks as needed
• Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records through EMR documentation, scanning, and data entry
• Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and daily office operations

What We're Looking For

Pay Range

• $20 - $22 per hour, based on experience
