Job summary

OrthoArizona is hiring Medical Assistants to join our premier orthopedic care team in the Greater Phoenix area. This full-time role requires travel with the physician to various clinics across the Valley, providing support in examinations, procedures, and patient care.

Ideal candidates will have a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, CPR certification, and at least one year in a medical office, with EMA/ModMed EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed / EMA experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
• Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
• Assist in the procedure room with procedures, receive IV training and certification and start IVs.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.
