Job summary

InnovaCare Health seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to support clinical and administrative tasks across our Florida clinics. You’ll assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of clinical patient care, and a team-oriented, calm demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• AED & CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations; obtain vital signs, meds and allergies review.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Handle patient history, routine lab procedures, and specimen preparation for transport.
• Follow up on test orders and relay results to providers and patients; provide patient education materials.
• Maintain patient EMR and ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations, including obtaining vital signs, weight, height, reviewing medications and medical history, allergies, and performing all ancillary tests required.
• Assists providers during patient examination, procedures, and treatment.
• Responsible for patient history, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.
• Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year experience of direct clinical patient care in a healthcare setting.
• Team spirit, a calm demeanor, and a passion for people.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified in AED & CPR
• At least 5 years as a certified medical assistant
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• CMA/RMA certification
