Overview

Medical Assistant, PRN position at Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC) in Fairfax, VA. You will work as needed on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8:30am–5:00pm.

No call, evenings, or major holidays.

What You’ll Do

• Support Patient Care: Youll assist technologists and physicians with various procedures, ensuring that each patients experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
  This may include initiating IVs.
• Prepare Patients: Youll play a key role in getting patients ready for their procedures, providing clear and compassionate communication before and after their appointments.
• Emergency Response: Youll be a part of the emergency response team, ensuring patient safety and essential immediate care is provided.
• Maintain Standards: Youll ensure that all supplies are well-stocked and the department is correctly sanitized.
• Compliance and Safety: Youll adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and other state and federal regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.

What You Bring

• Experience: With over two years of experience as a Medical Assistant, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
• Education: A high school diploma and a current Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma are essential to your success in this position.
• Skills: Proficiency in IV placement and current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider/AED
