Job summary

Premise Health, a full-time Medical Assistant position, is based in the Health Center located in Stuarts Draft, VA. The role blends clinical care with administrative duties, including patient check‑in/check‑out, scheduling, and outreach, with Epic experience preferred.

Hours are Monday–Thursday 6:30a–4p and Friday 6:30a–12:30p, offering a balanced workload and opportunities to support patient care and operations.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow‑up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Stuarts Draft, VA.

The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 6:30a - 4p and Friday 6:30a-12:30p

Make an impact across both sides of patient care: Enjoy a true 50/50 clinical and administrative role with hands‑on patient care plus check‑in/check‑out, referrals, scheduling, and outreach.

Put your clinical skills to work: Utilize strong phlebotomy, vitals, injections, rooming, and provider support

Epic experience strongly preferred: Bring your Epic knowledge to a role where organization, independence, and excellent communication are valued.

What You’ll Do
