Spero Health in Cynthiana, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our integrated care team, supporting counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. You will handle scheduling, patient check-in/out, vital signs, phlebotomy, and EHR data entry to support coordinated care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program, 1–3 years of MA experience, CPR certification, and preferred phlebotomy or injections experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• 1–3 years as a Medical Assistant or similar role preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.

Responsabilités

• Schedule patient appointments and manage intake; check in/out patients.
• Take vitals and perform urine drug screens; assist with patient evaluations.
• Input patient information into the electronic health record (EHR).
• Call in medications as directed by the Physician and process prior authorizations.
• Balance daily payments and manage cash collection; verify benefits.

Spero Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our awesome team in Cynthiana, KY!

This position is for a Medical Assistant who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Answering in-coming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
• Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
• Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Perform daily financial summary and balance of payments received.
• Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
• Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Provide education and resource information regarding medication.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred

Experience:

• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
• Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
