Job summary

Spero Health, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our teams in Seymour, TN and Lenoir City, TN. The role involves traveling between both locations (2-3 days/week at each site) and performing MA duties within an integrated care setting that includes counseling and medication-assisted treatment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience, phlebotomy and lab exposure, injections, and CPR certification. High school diploma required; program graduate preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant; phlebotomy and lab experience preferred; injections preferred; CPR certification must be obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments.
• Answer in-coming calls and check voice messages.
• Check patients in/out and manage patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, take vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medications as directed by Physician.
• Input patient information into EHR accurately.
• Send prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Perform daily financial summary and balance payments received.
• Manage cash collection and verify benefits.
• Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Provide education and resource information regarding medications.

Spero Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our awesome teams in Seymour, TN and Lenoir City, TN!

This position will travel between both locations - Seymour, TN (2-3 days/week) and Lenoir City, TN (2-3 days/week)

This position is for a Medical Assistant who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Education:

• Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
