Vera Whole Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (Float) to support multiple centers across the Columbus market. You will travel between two locations, assisting providers with exams, immunizations, phlebotomy, and lab processing to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires 1+ year of MA experience, phlebotomy skills, and familiarity with EMR systems (Athena is a plus). Certification is not required, and the schedule is Mon–Fri with a 1-hour lunch.

This role provides both clinical and administrative support, ensuring smooth patient flow and high‐quality care. You’ll work closely with providers and clinic teams while traveling between **2** locations as needed.## **Key Responsibilities**### **Patient Care*** Take manual vital signs and document in the EMR* Assist providers with exams, diagnostic tests, and point‐of‐care testing* Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications* Observe and record patient reactions* Perform phlebotomy and prepare lab specimens* Process labs, swabs, and other samples* Provide routine patient education and self‐management support* Track preventive care needs, referrals, and follow‐up items* Conduct outreach to patients and specialists for referrals, care gaps, and records### **Clinic Operations*** Manage patient flow throughout the care center* Set up exam and procedure rooms based on visit needs* Answer multi‐line phones and assist with front desk duties when needed* Schedule appointments and support patient registration* Maintain inventory and restock supplies* Serve as an external‐facing representative for the clinic* Travel to other sites for coverage or events as needed### **Compliance*** Perform QA controls and complete required documentation* Follow safety and infection‐control protocols* Maintain HIPAA confidentiality* Meet medical record documentation standards* Participate in quality improvement and comply with OSHA/CLIA guidelines### **Team Collaboration*** Participate in team meetings and huddles* Support training, orientation, and ongoing competency assessments* Work with clinic teams to meet performance targets* Adapt to flexible hours or shifts as needed* Perform other duties as assigned## **Additional Qualifications*** Ability to set up exam/procedure rooms using sterile/aseptic technique* Basic knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and autoclaving* Ability to support office‐based procedures* Understanding of immunization administration for all age groups* Experience documenting in an EMR## **Benefits*** Medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k)* **13 paid holidays*** Paid Time Off (PTO)**Compensation:**$19.00to$30.00### About UsVera Whole Health is leading the shift to value-based care using an advanced primary care model that delivers a superior experience, providing longer appointments, same or next-day access, and both in-person and virtual care.
