Job summary

Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking a compassionate full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in Albany, NY. You will work closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality cardiac care and support patients throughout their visit.

The role emphasizes patient check-in/out, record maintenance, and coordination of tests and authorizations in a collaborative, no-night, no-weekend environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MA, BLS, and Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
• Cardiac background preferred but not necessary.
• Familiarity with medical software and terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, vital sign checks, medication reconciliation, and assist with medical records.
• Provide exceptional patient support and care in various procedures.
• Assist with patient check-in/check-out, including verifying demographics, insurance, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, and ensuring test authorizations are in place.
• Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and communication skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $22-$23 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
