Job description

FULL TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Chicago ENT is seeking experienced Medical Assistants (MA) to partner with providers in delivering prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. The role reports to the MA Lead and involves occasional travel to practices in Skokie, Lakeview, Halsted, and Peterson.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Assist and restrain patients weighing 200-300 pounds or more recovering from procedures.
• Maintain patient flow, keep exam and treatment rooms clean, and perform basic skills such as vital signs and point-of-care testing.
• Administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under physician supervision.
• Receive cross-training across specialties including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• Work scheduled hours and travel between office locations as assigned, with a weekly schedule not exceeding 40 hours, typically between 7AM and 7PM, potentially 5 days including Monday to Saturday.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED
• Current CPR Certification
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
• Minimum two years clinical experience preferred
• Previous surgical experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

All employees must provide proof of vaccination or exemption. A valid driver's license is preferred.

WAGE

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour plus travel reimbursement.
