Job description

FULL TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Chicago ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Chicago ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this comprehensive ENT care setting. This role reports to the MA Lead, with occasional travel to Skokie, Lakeview, Halsted, and Peterson practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Medical Assistant

• Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with patient evaluation, management, and treatment in an ambulatory care setting.
• Assist patients recovering from procedures, including those weighing 200-300 pounds or more.
• Maintain patient flow, keep exam and treatment rooms clean, and perform basic skills such as vital signs and point-of-care testing.
• Administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under physician supervision.
• Cross-train in all specialties and ancillary services, including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
• Work scheduled hours and travel between all office locations where their provider hosts clinics.
• The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule, not exceeding 40 hours.
• Work hours may be between 7AM to 7PM, five days a week, including Monday to Saturday.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of a Medical Assistant

• High School diploma or GED
• Current CPR Certification
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred
• Previous surgical experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

All employees must provide proof of vaccination or exemption. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

WAGE

$18-22.00 + Travel Reimbursement
