Job summary

USA Clinics Group in the Chicago area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and ensure smooth clinic workflow. You will assist with medical procedures, patient check-in/out, and EMR documentation, delivering welcoming and efficient care.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical experience, completion of MA training, with CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred. You will work across multiple clinic locations with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training program and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories in EMR/EHR.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
  • Accurately document patient interactions in EMR/EHR.
  • Support patient care in various healthcare settings as needed.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks).
  • Maintain a patient-centered, efficient workflow in a fast-paced clinic.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details
  • Location: This position floats between our Skokie, Elmwood Park, and Belmont clinic locations
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
  • Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
  • Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
