Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Illinois seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians across our outpatient vein, fibroid, vascular, and oncology centers. You will greet patients, record vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist during procedures.

Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks) and strong patient-facing service are essential. Full-time Monday–Friday with competitive pay and benefits. Location varies across several clinics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completed Medical Assistant training program or certification preferred.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Experience with vital signs, rooming patients, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as trained.
• Document interactions in EMR/EHR and maintain accurate records.
• Provide exceptional patient service in a high-volume clinic.
• Support care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care, pharmacies or home health.

Position Summary: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:

• Location: This position floats between our Archer, Belmont, Elmwood, and Orland Park clinics.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
