City/State Charlottesville, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara MJH Medical Group Admin Offices is seeking a Medical Assistant non-certified in Charlottesville, VA! Job Summary Hours: 32 hrs/week. Schedule based on practice needs Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Most shifts will be 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Duties: Primarily a clinical MA role, with cross-training and support for front desk duties as needed. Home Location: 5th Street Station serves as the home office, but the role will float to all designated practices as needed. Flexibility: Must be willing to float between practices as needed based on staffing demands. Coverage Area: Supports 10 Primary Care practices across the Charlottesville/Waynesboro market.
Overview The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Experience One year of clinical/administrative experience required Phlebotomy experience preferred
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required
Certification/Licensure Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.31 - $29.92 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
