Job summary

Cooper Pediatrics in New Jersey seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient intake, prepare exam rooms, and assist providers during visits. You will take vital signs, document health concerns, and help with minor procedures.

This role includes medication reconciliation, EKGs, injections preparation, and handling phone messages and administrative tasks. High school diploma and CMA license with BLS required. On-site work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Set up patient in exam room.

• Record reason for visit and health concerns.
• Interview patient about changes in health since last visit.
• Assist provider with minor surgical procedures.

• Handle phone messages, faxes, and front desk tasks as needed.

Short Description

• Responsible for setting up the patient in the exam room
• Perform and Document:
  • Vital signs (manual BPs),
  • EKGs,
  • Reconciliation of medications
  • Reason for visit, health care concern
• Interview/Discuss with patient changes in patient’s health since last visit
• Assist the provider with minor surgical procedures
• Prepare appropriate medications for injections
• Responsible for phone messages, faxes, and Medical Reception responsibilities as needed

Education Requirements
