Responsibilities

• Remain with physician at all times in the exam room unless asked to step out or scheduled for a study.
• Assist the doctor in all aspects of the patient’s initial consultation and weekly status checks.
• Schedule and follow-up on all diagnostic studies, ensuring proper documentation and physician signature on results.
• Draw blood for laboratory tests and follow up on results.
• Record medications patients are taking, including new prescriptions, dosage, and prescribing physician.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy; document samples given to patients.
• Assist with catheterization for simulations and report or verify patient problems as needed.
• Maintain open communication with front desk and nursing staff regarding patient status and treatment changes.

Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Physician or Physician’s designee.Your key responsibilities:Remain with physician at all times in the exam room unless asked to step out or sent to schedule a study.Assist the doctor in all aspects of the patient’s initial consultation, and weekly status checksRoutine follow-up examinationsAny emergency visits that are needed.Schedule and follow-up on all diagnostic studies that are ordered including proper documentation and obtaining physicians signature on test result.Responsible for acquiring results and notifying Physician of results on all interim reports.Draws blood for various lab tests that are sent out. Follow up on results of lab.Attend annual OSHA/Biomedical update meetings and application in the clinical setting of the updates.Practice safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment when needed.Document medications the patients are currently taking, and document any new medications prescribed by our physicians while under our care.
