Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Battle Creek, MI. You will support patient care, interview patients, take vital signs, and maintain records in a busy health center setting.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, administering medications and tests, and assisting at the front desk with scheduling and follow-ups. Requires MA certification and BLS; on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from an approved organization.
• BLS/CPR certification required (AHA/ARC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records with accuracy and privacy.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and perform basic lab tests and EKGs as allowed by state.
• Assist front desk tasks: schedule appointments, call follow-ups, order supplies.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Battle Creek, MI.

Schedule:

• 4 10-Hour shifts, 7:00a - 5:30p
• Off either Wednesday or Thursday

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
