Optimal Health and Wellness – Baraboo, WI is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant to join our integrative wellness team. The role focuses on patient care, rooming, vitals, phlebotomy, injections, and assisting providers with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Experience as a Medical Assistant or MA training program is preferred. Strong phlebotomy skills, organization, and comfort with EMR systems are important for success. This position offers growth and collaborative team support.

Qualifications

• Experience as Medical Assistant or has completed an MA training program.
• Comfortable with blood draws and injections - phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Compassionate and confident working directly with patients.
• Organized and detail-oriented; dependable and punctual.

Responsabilités

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Reviewing and updating medications and medical histories.
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Preparing and administering injections as permitted by training and clinic protocols.
• Preparing exam and treatment rooms.
• Assisting providers with procedures and patient care.
• Processing laboratory orders and specialty testing kits.
• Communicating basic provider instructions to patients.
• Medication refill and pharmacy communication support.
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation.
• Cleaning, stocking, and organizing clinical areas.
• Monitoring medical and laboratory supply inventory.
• Assisting with patient check-in/check-out and phones when needed.
• Supporting the clinical team wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly.

Optimal Health and Wellness is growing, and we are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team!

We are a growing integrative wellness clinic offering conventional and functional medicine, hormone optimization, weight management, IV therapy, regenerative treatments, aesthetics, and advanced diagnostic testing.

We are looking for someone who enjoys patient care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a team focused on providing an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities may include:

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
• Reviewing and updating medications and medical histories
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Preparing and administering injections as permitted by training and clinic protocols
• Preparing exam and treatment rooms
• Assisting providers with procedures and patient care

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced as a Medical Assistant or has completed an MA training program
• Comfortable with blood draws and injections - strong phlebotomy skills are highly preferred
• Compassionate and confident working directly with patients
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable with computers and electronic medical records
• Able to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment
• A positive team player who is willing to learn

Experience in functional medicine, primary care, hormone therapy, weight management, IV therapy, or specialty laboratory testing is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
