Job summary

Executive Medicine of Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our concierge clinic. You’ll support physicians and nurses with front-office and hands-on clinical duties, while delivering exceptional patient care and building relationships.

The role includes preparing treatment rooms, recording histories and vitals, performing screenings and injections, assisting with procedures, and handling EMR tasks. CMA preferred; wellness-focused, reliable, and team-oriented candidates excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical environment.
• Proficiency performing venipuncture/blood draws and injections.
• Wellness-minded as a credible example of what we teach our patients.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality.
• Professional and personable written and verbal communication with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Punctual, reliable, and highly organized.
• Free of any visible tattoos.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and common computer applications.
• Current CMA certification preferred.
• Experience with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy a plus.
• IV and/or ARRT certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
• Performs screening tests such as height/weight, blood pressure, PFTs, EKGs, cognitive exams, hearing and vision screenings.
• Administers injections and performs lab draws.
• Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback (will train).
• Setting up and assisting physicians with procedures, including hormone pellets, sutures, excisions, stress tests.
• Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and properly disposes of contaminated supplies.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions, scheduling, and general clinic information.
• Coordinate required lab work and educate patients on clinical instructions, following all infection-control, HIPAA, and patient-safety standards.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience from initial contact through ongoing care.

Patient Care & Clinical

Working Conditions

Overtime expectations: Occasional. Work environment: Must be able to be on feet and walking for long periods of time. This position works in a well-lit, air conditioned clinical environment. Must have ability to assist in lifting patients, if needed. Tasks may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Travel requirements: Local travel may be required for in-home visits with patients. Special conditions or requirements: As a wellness clinic, this is a smoke-free environment.
