Job Title: Medical Assistant – Children’s Dental Sedation Center of Atlanta

Employment Type:
Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
Locations: Atlanta or Gainesville
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a Plus!

About Us:
At Children's Sedation Center of Atlanta, we specialize in providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality dental care for children, including those requiring sedation dentistry. Our team is dedicated to creating a positive and calming experience for every child and their family. We seek a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team and help support sedation procedures and clinical operations in our pediatric-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental sedation procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding for both child and parent.
  • Assist dental and anesthesia teams during sedation treatments.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient consent forms.
  • Monitor patients pre- and post-sedation and provide support during recovery.
  • Maintain a sterile and organized environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Manage documentation and electronic health records (EHR) accurately and securely.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Communicate clearly with families to provide pre- and post-operative instructions and address concerns.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Previous experience in pediatric or dental sedation settings is a strong plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and their caregivers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a calm, caring demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently as part of a team.
