Job summary

Maximus seeks a Lead Consultant - Medicaid to lead advisory engagements with state and local Medicaid agencies and to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping strategy from scoping to successful delivery.

The role requires current Medicaid consulting experience as a project leader, with strong capabilities in policy analysis, program design, and executive communication while collaborating with BD, sales, and delivery teams to win and execute engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of senior‑level Medicaid program or consulting experience.
• Experience engaging credibly with senior Medicaid executives and agency leadership.
• Experience supporting or leading responses to Medicaid procurements.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements from scoping through delivery.
• Develop workplans, governance structures, and deliverables.
• Provide senior oversight to ensure delivery quality and client satisfaction.
• Recruit team members to support Medicaid consulting opportunities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders on go-to-market strategies.
