Job summary

Nava PBC is seeking a Policy Strategist to translate Medicaid policy into practical recommendations and actionable directions. You will research federal and state requirements, explain options, and help teams set priorities for policy work across product, design, and engineering.

Remote-friendly role focusing on an integrated eligibility platform, with emphasis on policy translation, testing, and cross-jurisdictional analysis to improve government services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in policy analysis or related graduate experience
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes or guidance
• Autonomous, self-directed with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication in policy contexts
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy
• Familiarity with agile delivery and human-centered design

Responsibilities

• Interpret policy findings to improve program processes and technology
• Identify policy questions, propose approaches, and progress when not fully defined
• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy changes
• Identify regulatory constraints and propose compliant solutions
• Support testing and validation of policy implementations
• Conduct landscape research on evolving policies and implications
• Build relationships with external partners to share policy expertise
