Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to translate Medicaid policy into practical, actionable guidance for a cross-functional team focused on integrated eligibility platforms.

You will help define research plans, synthesize findings, and stay current on policy trends affecting government programs. Ideal candidates will have hands-on Medicaid policy experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in an agile, human-centered design environment.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing Medicaid policy and translating analysis into practical recommendations.
• Ability to develop research plans and synthesize analyses into actionable recommendations.
• Experience with policy interpretation to improve program processes and technology.
• Experience working in agile, human-centered design processes.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and ambiguities—and propose solutions that balance compliance, user experience, and delivery needs.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research to monitor evolving policies.
• Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons.
