Job summary

American Unit, Inc. seeks a FAS Solution Architect to lead the technical direction for a new Fiscal Agent Services module within the Medicaid Enterprise System. The role partners with stakeholders, vendors, and teams to ensure alignment with CMS guidelines, MITA goals, and enterprise standards.

You will guide architectural reviews, assess integration needs across modules, and shape roadmaps while ensuring security compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and state policies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing large IT architectures for healthcare or government systems.
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Familiarity with MITA/interoperability standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the technical implementation of a new MES FAS module.
• Ensure solutions align with CMS guidelines and federal modularity requirements.
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Evaluate integration across Eligibility, Provider Services, and Data Warehousing.
• Provide guidance on interfaces, data exchange, APIs, and security models.
• Develop architectural artifacts and technical roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure compliance with NIST/HIPAA.
• Participate in governance and review change requests.
• Provide leadership to project teams and external partners.
