Job summary

MITRE seeks a senior technical leader to shape and deliver CMS programs, focusing on Medicaid enterprise systems, privacy, and cross‑agency data sharing. You will translate policy into actionable analyses, guide certification activities, and collaborate with federal partners to advance health IT modernization.

The role requires deep Medicaid domain knowledge, strong stakeholder communication, and on-site presence at least three days per week. A Master’s or PhD plus experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with Medicaid programs or MES at the federal or state level.
• Subject-matter expertise in core Medicaid domains (eligibility, financing, managed care, long‑term services, or MES).
• Experience with MES certification or recertification activities and with data-sharing/privacy/security agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical expertise on MES, health IT modernization, and MES certification.
• Lead cross-agency data-integration initiatives and coordinate stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyze, and document stakeholder needs and translate findings into requirements and priorities.
• Assess designs and data-integration approaches for security, privacy, and compliance.
