Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Financial Operations Manager in Madison, WI to lead day-to-day Medicaid financial operations for the State of Wisconsin contract. The role drives cash receipts, deposits, checkwrite activities, reconciliations, and controls while partnering with Finance, Systems, Claims, and Customer Experience teams.

You will recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing team, ensuring SLA adherence, process improvements, and risk management in a complex Medicaid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in financial operations or Medicaid-related environments.
• Strong understanding of cash receipts, deposits, reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Proven ability to document procedures and maintain audit-ready records.
• Excellent communication with business partners and state clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Medicaid financial operations, including mail receipt and check handling.
• Oversee weekly processing cycles and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Maintain controls for receipt, custody, tracking, and disposition of checks and instruments.
• Sustain segregation of duties, quality checkpoints, and management oversight.
• Monitor activities and resolve processing delays, discrepancies, and risks.
• Maintain SOPs, control points, and audit-ready documentation.
