Job summary

Maximus seeks a Customer Service Representative II in Arverne, NY to assist New York Medicaid recipients with enrollment, eligibility, and plan options. You will handle face-to-face and telephone support, explain managed care options, and guide clients through the enrollment process with compassionate, clear communication.

The role requires CAC certification maintenance, a Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule, and onsite work at 219 Beach 59 St. Arverne, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–6 months of relevant experience acceptable.
• Prior customer service, data entry, and/or data processing experience preferred.
• Experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake referrals via calls, voicemail, email, or other designated channels.
• Respond to inquiries, provide general program information, and refer clients or providers to appropriate agencies or resources.
• Perform initial eligibility screening for services using defined criteria and procedures.
• Review and screen applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Enter, update, and maintain application, intake, and case information in applicable databases and systems.
