Job summary

St. Camillus Residential Health is seeking a Full Time Medicaid Specialist to join our Patient Financial Services team in New York. The role focuses on reviewing insurance coverage, determining Medicaid needs, and submitting applications with timely recertifications.

Responsibilities include tracking deadlines, communicating with the DSS and families, and maintaining accurate eligibility records. Experience in Medicaid billing and strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required with experience in Medicaid eligibility and skilled nursing facility Medicaid billing.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel) and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and FFS staff to ensure timely Medicaid processes.

Responsibilities

• Review residents' insurance coverage and Medicaid eligibility to determine financial liability.
• Estimate Net Available Monthly Income (NAMI) where applicable and ensure Medicaid filings are submitted on time.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicaid regulations and provider payers; coordinate with DSS and families to secure timely approvals.
