Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Project Manager to drive complex eligibility work from plan to go-live for public-sector and commercial clients in the Gulf South.

You will organize multi-stakeholder teams, manage policy changes, and surface risks early to keep members covered. The role emphasizes disciplined RAID, schedule adherence, and clear executive reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with multi-stakeholder technology or policy implementations.
• 3+ years of Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, or public assistance program experience.
• Experience with state agencies, vendors, and federal requirements.
• Strong planning, RAID management, and reporting using MS Project, Smartsheet or Jira.
• Experience with Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Clear, calm communication with executives, policy experts, and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage Medicaid eligibility and enrollment projects, including system changes, policy implementations, and operational improvements.
• Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and milestones across state agency, vendor, and delivery teams.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions through a RAID log, escalating early and clearly.
• Lead implementation of new federal and state requirements, including community engagement and more frequent renewals, within deadlines.
• Coordinate with eligibility system vendors, managed care organizations, and adjacent programs such as SNAP and MMIS.
• Facilitate status meetings, steering committees, and working sessions, and document decisions and actions.
• Prepare clear status reports and executive briefings on progress, risks, and decisions needed.
• Manage scope, change requests, and budget against contract and funding requirements, including federal funding documentation where applicable.
• Support testing, readiness, training, and go-live planning so changes land smoothly for eligibility staff and members.
