Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Project Manager on behalf of a Gulf South-based boutique consulting firm. You will keep complex eligibility work on track from plan to go-live, coordinating state agencies, vendors, and delivery teams while surfacing risks early.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience with large multi-stakeholder technology or policy implementations.
• 3+ years Medicaid eligibility or public assistance programs.
• Experience with state agencies, vendors, and federal requirements.
• Proficient in planning, RAID management, and reporting using MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira.
• Experience with Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Clear, calm communication with executives, policy experts, and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage Medicaid eligibility and enrollment projects across system changes and policy implementations.
• Build and maintain integrated plans, schedules, and milestones across state agency, vendor, and delivery teams.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions through a RAID log.
• Lead implementation of new federal and state requirements, includingCMS provisions and renewals, within deadlines.
• Coordinate with eligibility system vendors, managed care organizations, and adjacent programs such as SNAP and MMIS.
• Facilitate status meetings, steering committees, and working sessions, and document decisions and action items.
• Prepare clear status reports and executive briefings on progress, risks, and decisions needed.
• Manage scope, change requests, and budget against contract and funding requirements.
• Support testing, readiness, training, and go-live planning so changes land smoothly for eligibility staff and members.
