Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicaid and CHIP eligibility and enrollment requirements.
• Experience with independent project management.
• Experience implementing Medicaid/CHIP eligibility policy training.
• Provides technical guidance regarding modification and improvement of the Eligibility system.
• Experience developing guidance documents for complex programs.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
• Experience analyzing, interpreting and applying complex federal and state law regulations and guidance.
• Experience meeting deadlines.
• Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders on large projects.
• Experience managing staff.
• Experience with Virginia’s Medicaid/FAMIS eligibility and enrollment systems.
• Knowledge of national and state policies under HR 1 impacting Medicaid/FAMIS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert consultant on Medicaid and CHIP eligibility policy.
• Ensure policymakers have full analysis of policy options.
• Provide management and strategic direction to the Eligibility Policy Unit.
• Attend in-person and external stakeholder meetings as required.
