Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Associate to assist uninsured/under-insured patients with Medicaid eligibility and financial assistance programs, on-site at St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay, WI.

You will review referrals and coordinate applications, communicating with patients and pursuing timely submissions. Minimum 1–2 years in healthcare, familiarity with revenue cycle, and knowledge of insurance processes are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare industry.
• Inquisitive and open to innovation including AI.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
• Call Center or patient access experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility.
• Coordinate the application process to facilitate accurate submissions.
• Follow up on submitted applications to ensure timely processing.
• Communicate with patients to obtain required documents.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements; share with colleagues.
• Collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers and other revenue cycle teams.
