Job summary

South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist II (LTCW) in Orangeburg County to determine Medicaid eligibility and manage documentation. This in-office role requires strong customer service and data accuracy as you handle case reviews and updates in the system.

Responsibilities include collecting information, following policies, and communicating with beneficiaries and third parties. Travel and overtime may be required per program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and experience in customer services, social services, human services, or Medicaid processing.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
• Familiarity with computers and standard Office software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Determine/re-dedermine Medicaid eligibility according to policies and procedures.
• Collect and evaluate documentation from applicants and third parties.
• Maintain clear documentation in the systems of record.
• Attend mandatory trainings and adhere to agency policies.
