Job summary

Myers and Stauffer is seeking a skilled healthcare analytics/auditing professional to lead engagements, review provider cost reports, and perform reimbursement calculations. You will mentor staff, ensure quality on working papers, and ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations across projects.

The position emphasizes supervisory responsibilities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; CPA or CPA candidacy highly valued.
• 3 years of healthcare analytics/auditing or public accounting experience.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
• Supervisory experience in auditing projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements, review provider cost reports, and perform reimbursement calculations.
• Independently conduct analyses and audits for Medicaid engagements.
• Mentor and train staff accountants and review work papers.
• Ensure quality assurance on audit working papers and reports.
• Research billing and reimbursement compliance with Medicaid regulations.
• Coordinate staffing on projects and manage deadlines.
• Review Medicaid policies and document scope and findings per AICPA standards.
• Communicate with all levels of the organization, internal and external.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information.
