Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• Master's degree preferred in accounting or related field
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience in health care auditing and data analysis desirable
• Ability to review statutory/regulatory language and apply requirements
• Strong analytical and communication skills emphasized
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Willingness to travel for client work

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports
• Analyze health care provider financial information
• Perform reimbursement calculations
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions
• Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits
• Conduct research to determine billing and reimbursement in line with regulations
• Conduct all audit phases including planning, research, fieldwork, reporting
• Review applicable policies/regulations before audits
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings per regulations and standards
• Demonstrate strong communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
