Overview

COO at DAA | Driving Strategy, Team Growth & Operational Excellence at an Award Winning Independent Agency | Houston Chapter Lead at The Media Dinner…

At DAA Media + Marketing, the Strategy & Investment team is where media expertise meets measurable impact. We translate client goals into smart, scalable media strategies — then bring them to life through thoughtful planning, efficient execution, and data-driven decision-making. We thrive on collaboration, precision, and curiosity — whether we’re navigating the latest platform updates, exploring emerging channels, or refining performance insights. If you’re passionate about turning strategy into outcomes and love the balance of structure and creativity, this is where you’ll do your best work.

As a Media Supervisor on a fast-paced QSR account, you’ll serve as a key client partner, helping to translate business needs into strategic, integrated media initiatives. Reporting to the Media Director, you’ll lead a team of associates and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution and alignment with client objectives. This role is an exciting opportunity to manage high-profile client relationships, guide campaign development, and drive day-to-day momentum for a fast-growing national brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Market Leadership
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for a defined group of local markets, building trust with regional client teams and understanding their unique priorities.
  • Lead the development of localized media approaches grounded in client objectives, audience insights, and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure campaign strategies are aligned, cohesive, and client-ready.
  • Monitor local competitive activity and share relevant trends and implications with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Tailor media plans and recommendations to meet client needs, local marketing calendars, and budget allocations.
Campaign Oversight & Communication
  • Oversee executional workflows in partnership with media, operations, and creative teams — ensuring campaign elements launch accurately and on time.
  • Provide clear and proactive communication to clients around timelines, deliverables, and performance updates.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of reporting materials, recaps, and insights — turning data into actionable next steps.
  • Review media documentation such as authorizations and insertion orders, ensuring quality and accuracy before client handoff.
  • Coordinate cross-team efforts to ensure media weight, frequency, and reach goals are delivered as planned.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of junior media staff, reviewing work and providing regular feedback to support their growth.
  • Delegate responsibilities thoughtfully, coaching team members through executional processes and decision-making.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages ownership, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and team syncs to maintain progress, resolve blockers, and recognize achievements.
  • Help onboard new team members and contribute to the development of documentation, tools, and training resources.
Process Improvement and Internal Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Associate Media Director and Media Director on workflow efficiency, resourcing, and strategic alignment.
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase operational efficiency and enhance team communication.
  • Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues in planning and trafficking workflows, proposing solutions or documentation updates.
  • Maintain organized media plans, budgets, and reference files that ensure internal visibility and cross-functional alignment.
  • Support internal quality assurance efforts to ensure consistency across client deliverables.
  • Partner with the Client Partnerships and Campaign Operations teams to track deadlines, assets, and approvals.
