Media Supervisor
  • Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000 based on experience-level and qualifications
Summary of Role

Founded in 2006, we are a nimble and growing agency headquartered in beautiful Boulder, CO with associates around the country and are seeking an experienced Media Supervisor to join our team.

The Media Supervisor serves as the connective layer between hands‑on campaign execution and high‑level media strategy. This role owns day‑to‑day performance across a portfolio of client accounts while beginning to take on greater strategic ownership, client relationship management, and team mentorship. The Media Supervisor is a trusted practitioner who can run full‑funnel paid media campaigns independently, elevate junior team members, and contribute meaningfully to client‑facing strategy conversations.

Responsibilities span paid social (Facebook/IG, TikTok, etc.), programmatic display/native (GDN and DV360), digital audio, CTV, static/digital OOH, and emerging channels. This person collaborates with strategic consultants, SEM, and earned/owned media teams to plan, execute, and optimize paid media programs, and plays a key role in quality‑controlling work produced by more junior team members.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Campaign Strategy: Develop and build full‑funnel, multi‑channel campaign strategies and present recommendations to internal teams and clients. Contribute meaningfully to client planning sessions alongside strategic consultants.
    • Media Planning: Work within self‑service platforms (Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Dv360, etc) and external media reps (sports vendors, sponsorship partners, CTV, OOH, traditional, etc) to process and send RFPs. Generate media plans and proposals; recommend budgets and monitor/adjust spend in real time across all managed accounts.
    • Channel Mix Optimization: Evaluate and recommend the right channel mix, targeting approach, creative strategy, and ad structures to drive consistent KPI improvement.
  • Execution & Optimization
    • Campaign Management: Independently set up, manage, and optimize campaigns across paid social, programmatic, CTV, digital audio, and OOH channels within platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, DV360, and MNTN. Fully own budget/pacing management and proactively communicate any issues with the internal account team.
    • Continuous Optimization: Proactively identify and act on optimization opportunities across all managed campaigns to meet or exceed client KPIs. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve performance and delivery issues.
    • Data Integration: Leverage first- and third‑party data for audience targeting and segmentation to improve campaign precision and efficiency.
  • Analysis & Reporting
    • Performance Analysis: Own the numbers. Analyze performance data across media platforms, GA4, client‑provided data, and Looker dashboards to surface macro and micro trends affecting client outcomes. Bring "data curiosity" to every account.
    • Reporting & Presentations: Pull data, build reports (G Slides, G Sheets), generate strategic insights and recommendations, and present updates to clients and internal stakeholders - covering both historical results and forward‑looking optimizations.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship
    • Junior Team Development: This role does not have any direct reports, but will provide day‑to‑day guidance, feedback, and quality review for more junior media team members. Help develop their skills in campaign management, optimization, and analysis.
    • Quality Control: Review work produced by junior team members before it reaches clients, ensuring accuracy, strategic alignment, and high standards.
  • Client Relationships
    • Client Communication: Serve as a reliable day‑to‑day client contact on assigned accounts. Communicate performance updates, flag issues proactively, and articulate strategy adjustments with clarity and confidence.
    • Presentations: Prepare and deliver clear, insight‑driven presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Industry Knowledge & Innovation
    • Industry Expertise: Stay current on paid media trends, platform updates, and best practices. Test new tools and offerings and share knowledge with the broader team to improve agency service delivery.
    • New Business Support: Assist with new business development through audits, strategic recommendations, and presentation materials.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience planning, buying, implementing, and managing paid media campaigns - agency experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience mentoring or guiding junior team members (formal or informal)
