Job summary

The New School is seeking a motivated MA Student Ambassador for the Media Studies program in New York. You will be the point of contact between the Program Director, Admissions staff, and prospective and admitted students, answering questions about courses, study paths, and student life.

Responsibilities include replying to emails, meeting with prospective students, arranging class visits, and participating in open houses and ambassador meetings. Hybrid on-campus and remote work is required.

Qualifications

• Current student in good standing at The New School.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emails sent to the ambassador account for the program, checked regularly.
• Meet with prospective students in person, by phone, or virtually at mutual convenience.
• Arrange class visits for prospective students.
• Attend Open House/Information Sessions and admitted student events to provide information from the student perspective.
• Attend monthly ambassador meetings with Admissions.
