Job summary

The New School in the United States seeks a motivated Student Ambassador for the MA, Media Studies program. You will act as the main liaison between the Program Director, Admissions staff, and prospective and admitted students, answering questions about courses, study options, and student life.

Responsibilities include replying to ambassador emails (checked at least every other day), meeting with prospective students, arranging class visits, and participating in Open Houses and monthly

Qualifications

• Current student in good standing at The New School.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emails for ambassador account; check at least every other day.
• Meet with prospective students in person, by phone, or virtually at mutual times.
• Arrange class visits for prospective students.
• Attend Open House/Information Sessions and admitted student events to provide information from the student’s perspective (monthly).
• Attend monthly ambassador meetings with Admissions contact.
