Job summary

NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI seeks a Mid-level Media Specialist II responsible for engineering and operations support of the Media Center. You will install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Media Center and VTC hardware, while handling diagnostic fault isolation and maintenance on cryptographic equipment for secure sessions.

The role requires knowledge of legal requirements for classified networks and relevant SECNAV guidelines, with emphasis on system designs and topology maps.

• Required certifications to support classified and unclassified networks per SECNAV M-5239.2.
• Experience with mid-level media center engineering and VTC systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Media Center and VTC hardware systems.
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective maintenance.
• Support cryptographic keying material loading, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare system designs, drawings and topology maps for media centers.
