Job summary

NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI is seeking an Engineer Systems III to provide senior engineering support and leadership for network, telephone, and media infrastructure design and integration across NUWCDIVNPT and remote sites.

The role requires DoD-Approved IAT Level 3 and CCNA/CCNP certifications, plus CompTIA Linux+ and IDS/IPS training. Responsibilities include architecture design, feasibility studies, and technical reviews of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering expertise in network, telephone, or media systems.
• Must hold DoD-IA Level 3 certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, or GCIH).
• Must hold CCNA or CCNP certification and training in CompTIA Linux+ and IDS/IPS.

Responsibilities

• Lead network, telephone, and media engineering design and system integration.
• Design classified and unclassified network and VTC architectures and security controls.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and improvement recommendations.
• Provide senior technical review of engineering deliverables.
