Gmcvirginia in Virginia, Minnesota, is looking for a part-time Media Room Operator to manage audio, video, graphics, and lighting for weekly church services both in-person and livestreamed. The role requires familiarity with ProPresenter software and audio mixing skills.
Responsibilities include setting up audio equipment for the band during practice and services, as well as operating video presentations. The position involves working approximately 5-8 hours per week.
The Media Room Operator is responsible for operation of equipment related to audio, video, graphics, and lighting for weekly church services held in-person at LMC and livestreamed online.
Part Time (5-8 hours/week)
As Needed (1-2 hours/week)
Generate weekly playlist using ProPresenter software
Schedule Facebook Live event on church Facebook page
Weekly Praise Band Practice Sessions (Thursdays, 7:00-9:00 pm)
Set up stage audio equipment (microphones, etc.) as needed for 6-10 member band (typically 2-4 vocals, 2 guitars, bass, keys, and drums)
Set up and operate audio mixing console
Operate ProPresenter software to present song lyrics for the band
Weekly In-Person and Livestreamed Services (Sundays, 8:30-11:30 am)
Note: The Media Room Operator will have at least one volunteer assistant each Sunday.
Set up additional stage audio equipment (microphones, etc.) as needed
Meet with soloists/special musicians as needed for sound checks
Operate or direct audio mixing console for all audio including live band FOH, monitors, and livestream during sound check and church service
Operate or direct video/graphics presentation for in-house screens and livestream
Operate or direct video camera switching for livestream
